Yes. There is no charcoal and no synthetic binder. It is bound with natural Guggal resin, which is why it burns cleanly without the harsh black smoke charcoal produces.
With no charcoal and no synthetic fragrance oil, our dhoop produces noticeably less smoke and no acrid residue. As with any dhoop, light it in a ventilated space and never leave it unattended.
For daily aarti and meditation, our Kasturi Guggal and Kesar Guggal cups give a gentle, steady fragrance. For havan, Ganesh Puja and larger ceremonies, choose Premium Dashang or Oud Guggal — heavier resins that carry through a bigger space.
